‘Colour To Smile’ a CSR initiative developed and run by Xerox Emirates aims to enhance the local community by providing monetary benefits to centres for children with special needs as well as brighten the day of children who have to visit hospitals through creating a warmer and more comfortable environment within the pediatric clinics and wards.
During the first phase of the campaign Xerox Emirates purchased a total number of 15 paintings from the Al Noor Training centre for children with special needs. The American Hospital of Dubai was then approached to partner with Xerox Emirates on this campaign, as an exclusive, for the first 6 months which marked the first phase of the campaign. These painting were then framed and hung on the walls of the American Hospital of Dubai’s pediatric clinic and ward.
‘Colour To Smile’ aims to encourage the community to aid and understand the additional needs of special needs children and their loving families. The paintings created by these children have created a warmer atmosphere within the pediatric areas and made hospital visits for children a little brighter and more comfortable.
The ‘Colour To Smile’ initiative is in line with the company’s corporate social responsibility policies and operation outlook. The children of today are our society’s future and should be supported for their creative artistry and have their self esteem and confidence further developed where possible.
This remains an ongoing campaign and will begin work on phase 2 during last quarter of 2011.
