Major League Baseball has suspended Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Cole Hamels five games for intentionally drilling Bryce Harper in the back Sunday.Hamels hit Harper in the back on the first pitch of his first at bat.
After the game, Hamels admitted to doing it on purpose, giving a very vague reason as to why.
That led Washington Nationals GM Mike Rizzo to freak out and call Hamels “fake tough.”
The five game suspension means Hamels will miss one start and lose out on the salary he was to earn during that period of time.
