The Clippers and the Mavericks are going to war over DeAndre Jordan, and it's all hands on deck

In the wildest turn of events of NBA free agency, the Los Angeles Clippers are trying to convince DeAndre Jordan to back out of his verbal deal with the Dallas Mavericks at the 11th hour and return to Los Angeles.

It’s borderline unprecedented and very much frowned upon to pressure a free agent change his mind once he has made a verbal agreement, but Jordan reportedly told Doc Rivers he has been having second thoughts, and here we are.

It’s now all-out war between the two teams, with everyone under the sun mobilizing and travelling to Houston, where Jordan is currently at his house.

Before Jordan can officially sign his five-year, $US80 million contract with the Mavs at 12:01 a.m. eastern, the Clippers will meet with him. ESPN reports that the Clippers are sending a full contingent to Houston, including Doc Rivers and owner Steve Ballmer.

Not going down without a fight, Mavs owner Mark Cuban has travelled to Houston to join the fray:

It appears that Chandler Parsons, who had dinner with Jordan six nights in a row before free agency opened, is rushing to Houston as well:

After Parsons sent that tweet, Austin resident JJ Redick hopped in his emoji car. Hereeeee comes JJ:
