December auto sales reports are coming out, and they’re already beating expectations.Chrysler was the first of the big players to announce results and they jumped 10 per cent, which was higher than the 7.6 per cent analysts were looking for.  These figures were both reported by Bloomberg.

Ford is reporting that U.S. light vehicle sales climbed 1.6 per cent, which was higher than the 1.2 per cent gain expected.

Rounding out the Detroit three, GM reported that vehicle sales jumped 4.9 per cent, which crushed expectations for just 2.1 per cent growth.

Total vehicle sales are expected to come in at 15.3 million for the month of December.
