Christina Aguilera got picked up by the cops in the wee hours of this morning — and no, it wasn’t for how criminally bad “Burlesque” was.
Aguilera was charged with public drunkenness, and her boyfriend, production assistant Matthew Rutler, got a DUI.
Now, we know Aguilera is probably still drinking away the pain from her flubbed Superbowl performance — but she and Matthew really should have stuck to partying at home.
Aguilera was reportedly this-close to booking a coaching spot on “The Voice,” NBC’s much-anticipated “American Idol” competitor. Producers of the new singing competition announced yesterday that the other mentors on the show will be Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and Cee-Lo Green.
Xtina was rumoured to be rounding out the team — but chances are NBC is ringing up its backup picks right now. Come on, Jessica Simpson!
