Earlier this week, Chris Rock posted this picture to social media with the caption “Stopped by the cops again wish me luck.”
This is the third time he’s posted photos of times he’s been pulled over by police. Here’s a photo he posted to WhoSay early this year:

Chris Rock is not the silent type when it comes to talking about racial profiling in America — one of his most well-known bits is about “how not to get your arse kicked by the police.”
Rock’s point is clear: Racial profiling is endemic in many of America’s police departments. Take New York City. Black men make up more than 25 per cent of the New York Police Department’s stops but comprise a relatively small share of the city’s population. As Emily Badger pointed out at The Washington Post late last year, it’s a problem that both the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations have tried — and failed — to address.
Rock never stated why he was pulled over or if he was arrested during this last stop.
