New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie slammed House Republicans Wednesday over their last-minute decision to pull the plug on a bill to provide federal relief for Hurricane Sandy victims.
Christie also tweeted that he will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. to talk about the Sandy bill.
Christie joins other prominent Republicans from the tri-state area in slamming the party for not acting on the Sandy relief bill. The legislation, which was authored in the Senate, had been scheduled to go to the floor this week, but House Speaker John Boehner decided to call off the vote after last night’s fiscal cliff chaos.
Earlier today, New York Republican Rep. Peter King went on a series of tirades against GOP House leaders, and called on New Yorkers to stop giving money to the party.
