Peter Westaway, the chief Europe economist at Nomura, has resigned, according to Dow Jones.

Westaway was a prominent supporter of the euro, and even wrote a famous booklet entitled “Europe will work.” That composition argued that the eurozone crisis will end well and not result in the break-up of the currency.

No one from the investment bank is commenting on the London-based analyst’s resignation.

However, given Westaway’s euro support, we’re wondering if he and the company no longer see eye-to-eye on the situation in the eurozone.
