The jobs report comes out at 8:30.

Obviously, nobody is very hopeful that we’ll get any good data. The official estimate is for a gain of 55K new jobs, with the unemployment rate staying at 9.1%.

To prepare you for the big event though, we’ve rounded up the most important charts describing the state of labour in America right now.

The depressing job creation number: Shockingly, it fell to exactly 0 last month.

Even worse, perhaps, average hourly wages actually went negative, something very rare historically.

Meanwhile, the duration of unemployment surges without any abatement.

Manufacturing had been rebounding nicely, but has now faltered.
