CHART: Where The Wage Gap Is Widest And Slimmest

The wage gap is far from uniform across industries. According to data from the Bureau of labour Statistics, the wage gap is particularly problematic in higher-paying professions, and in occupations that often require a post-collegiate degree.

Check out the chart below. The places where women earned the most compared to men’s earnings in 2010 includes jobs like data entry and food service. On the reverse side, the places with the most inequitable earnings ratios include a handful of top-tier managerial positions, legal occupations, and financial jobs.
