CHART: The Rise And Fall Of America's Largest Housing Markets

Every month we get an update to the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index for 20 major American cities.

Here’s another way of looking at how prices in those cities rose and fell.  The horizontal axis shows the peak gain from 2000 and the vertical axis captures the decline from those peaks.
