CHART: How The Country You Live In Affects Whether You Click On Facebook Ads

Citizens of Eastern countries are much more likely to click on Facebook ads than their Western counterparts, according to research from TBG Digital, one the larger buyers and managers of Facebook ad campaigns.

They sifted 194 billion impressions  from January 2011 to June 2012 and created this chart, showing declining click-through rates from East to West. TBG says:

[The data] suggest that users from countries with relationship driven cultures (e.g. Collectivist cultures such as the Middle East, Africa, South America and Asia) are almost twice as likely to click on an ad which refers to their Facebook friends or family.

The Middle East and North Africa territory’s Social CTR is 1.8 times that of Europe. ¬†
