If it feels like everyone around you is getting sick, you could be right.
Data from the Department of Health shows that while influenza activity is currently “low and stable”, it is “higher than at the same time in previous years”.
“Australia is currently in the inter-seasonal period for influenza” – otherwise known as the clam before the storm – but flu activity is already higher in most parts of the country.

Considering that there were almost 68,000 cases of flu were recorded across Australia last year -the highest number in any year to date – if patterns continue we could be in for another record-breaking flu season.
