The new Charlie Sheen TV project that’s been fueling speculation for weeks is reportedly a sitcom version of the Jack Nicholson/Adam Sandler movie “Anger Management.”
There’s been a lot of false information about Sheen’s return to television flying around lately — most notably, TBS came out strongly against assertions that they were courting him.
But this might be the real deal — especially since TMZ cameras captured Sheen saying he didn’t want to “piss off Joe Roth” by saying anything about the project.
But then he went ahead and said the “initials” of the project’s titles were “A.M.”
Megaproducer Roth’s Revolution Studios produced “Anger Management” in 2003.
Now, there’s no doubt that Sheen’s options at this time are probably pretty limited.
But barring the possibility that Sheen has already burned through his ridiculous CBS fortune and needs to go back to work — a TV adaptation of a watery, eight-year-old comedy feels like a pretty flat return to us.
