Kris Dielman, a left guard for the San Diego Chargers, will sit out the next two games after he suffered a grand mal seizure (via Deadspin).Dielman had a concussion last week during the Chargers’ game against the New York Jets, but he went back into the game and continued playing.
After the game, Dielman had a grand mal seizure as the team’s flight home was landing.
Dielman brushed the seizure off as nothing, but witnesses on the plane told Sign On San Diego it was “violent,” and “scary,” and Dielman stayed overnight in the hospital.
Dielman will sit out for at least two weeks as he awaits the results of a neurological exam.
