News Corp. has named Bloomberg Ventures CEO Lex Fenwick as CEO of Dow Jones, the company announced today.He will succeed Les Hinton, who left Dow Jones in July.
Fenwick worked at Bloomberg for 25 years, serving as Michael Bloomberg’s COO and later CEO of Bloomberg L.P.
News Corp. President and COO Chase Carey described Fenwick as “a driving force in the financial news and information industry for more than two decades.”
Dow Jones’ products include the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s, among other properties. It is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.
