Today, Electronic Arts said it would buy PopCap, the maker of popular games like Bejeweled and Plants and Zombies, for a combination of cash and stock that could amount to $1.3 billion.
PopCap, the maker of popular casual games like Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies, is on the verge of a billion-dollar buyout, sources tell TechCrunch.
PopCap Games is rumoured to be in acquisition talks with a potential suitor according to TechCrunch blogger MG Sigler. It is unknown who the buyer is at this time but the deal is valued at more than $1 billion:
