iminlikewithyou Update: Sneak Peeks Of Redesign

We chatted with iminlikewithyou cofounder Charles Forman this week, who was kind enough to shed more light on his invite-only flirting game/social network that’s engendered all sorts of buzz recently. The site is notable both because of its slick interface and its high-profile founders, who include Digg’s Kevin Rose, Ron […]

We’reinlikewithyou!

We’re taking NY online flirting start-up iminlikewithyou for a test drive (really, that’s what we’re doing), and in the spirit of community, we’d like you to be able to check it out, too.  Unfortunately, it’s still invitation-only, so we can’t just post a link.

Contrary to Reports, Seed-Stage Investing Alive and Well in NYC

Andrew Weissman:  As reported earlier, venture capital investments in tech companies in the second quarter of 2007 were the highest they’ve been in six years. According to VentureBeat, however, “The quarterly report also highlights the trends of larger deal sizes and more money going toward second-round and later-stage investments. The […]

Brit Blogger Bemoans Lack of UK iminlikewithyou

Hot New York flirting start-up iminlikewithyou had better get cracking with the regional sites.  English blogger Richard Azia loves the service, but complains that he can’t date girls who live in San Francisco.

Balloono: Iminlikewithyou’s Biggest Hit Yet

Remember that feeling on the last day of school before a big break for the winter or summer? The light-in-the-chest feeling that no one is actually trying to get anything done, just distracting themselves from the clock?

NY Tech Meetup: Iminlikewithyou Launches Game Network

Every month Meetup.com CEO Scott Heiferman tells the 400 or so geeks who reliably head out to the NY Tech Meetup they can feel free to boo bad presentations off the stage. But no one ever does, not even the obvious snoozers (and there were one or two).

Iminlikewithyou Closes Series A: $1.5 Million From Spark, Marc Andreessen, Others

Time to correct our earlier post on Charles Forman’s fundraising efforts for Iminlikewithyou, the social network turned casual gaming site. Charles has raised $1.5 million, not the $2 million we’d previously reported. The round was led by Spark Capital, and included money from previous investors Betaworks and Ron Conway. One […]

NY Tech Meetup: Blockles Steals The Show

One highlight at an otherwise-rather-dull NY Tech Meetup, Tuesday night at IAC’s Chelsea HQ: Blockles, a new, multi-player, Web-based Tetris game by i’minlikewithyou founder Charles Forman, who, pictured at right, looks like he has been spending too much time at the gym lately. Charles has spent the past few months […]

Sept. NY Tech Meetup: A Big Night

NY Tech Meetup organiser (and Meetup CEO) Scott Heiferman predicted a “nutty” evening in advance of last night’s meeting. Not sure about nutty, but with nine companies presenting to 450 attendees, it was a big night. We were one of the nine, and we’re grateful for the kind reception. After […]
