Australian actress Cate Blanchett and her playwright husband Andrew Upton have sold their family home in Hunters Hill for around $20 million.
The Bulwarra property is perched on 3642 square metres of prized waterfront land in one of Sydney’s most prestigious suburbs.
Buyer’s agent Deborah West, of SydneySlice, confirmed the property had sold, but would not reveal the exact sale price or buyer details.
Domain reports the couple bought the property in 2005 for $10 million from merchant banker Jim Dominguez. After an $8 million revamp, the property is now expected to fetch a record sale price for the lower north shore area. The current record is $12.85 million, set in May.

On the exterior of the house is a pool pavilion, championship tennis court, trampoline platform, guesthouse and direct river access.
