Carson Palmer is on pace to throw 38 interceptions in nine and a half games for the Oakland Raiders this season. Some people suspected that Palmer wouldn’t be the Raiders’ saviour when they traded two first-rounders for him a few weeks ago.

But no one thought he’d be this godawful.

He’s thrown six picks and three touchdowns in six quarters. He’s completed less than 50% of his passes and the team is 0-2 after trading for him.

They were 4-2 before the trade.

Bottom line: It’s a disaster. A lot of people liked Oakland as a playoff sleeper after they jumped out to a hot start. But now they are in utter disarray with an expensive liability at QB.

They are essentially stuck with Palmer now. Jason Campbell got hurt, which is the reason they made the trade in the first place. And Kyle Boller was atrocious in the two quarters he played against the Chiefs in Week 7.

Oakland is tied for the AFC West lead at 4-4. But they’d need to massive turnaround from their QB to stay in the race.
