Early next year, gamers will have extra incentive to return unwanted holiday gifts for a game controller coming out too late for the shopping season.David Kotkin, of Kotkin Enterprises, inventor of the Avenger game controller, announced today the Delta Six controller, modelled after actual military-grade guns.

The Delta Six, created for use with first-person shooter games like “Call of Duty,” has all the regular game control functions.

But it also can be extended to become a sniper rifle, or shortened to become a sub machine gun.

It has a realistic magazine clip, in case your character runs out of ammo. If you hold it up to your cheek, it activates an onscreen scope.

It even has recoil.

As if he knew he was courting controversy, Kotkin said the weapon $89 gadget is meant for adult gamers, and will only be sold to those over 21.

Kotkin claims the “only way to get more real is to enlist.” Of course, you only have to be 18 to do that.
