Californian Lands Stolen Car On Roof Of Apartment In Early Morning Crash

A California man stole a car early Wednesday morning, only to have it wind up in the most unlikely of places: the roof of a nearby apartment.

According to local ABC affiliate KFSN, 26 year old Benjamin Tucker stole the green Saturn from a Fresno, California home and crashed it soon after.

But how did he land it on a roof?

It appears that after stealing the car, Tucker (who had two other warrants out for his arrest) hit a curb and a large pile of rocks. This combination then launched the car high enough to land on an apartment roof.

The speed limit in the area is 30 miles per hour; it is believed that he was going a good bit faster.

After the accident, Tucker jumped off the roof, broke his leg, and made it almost 1/4 mile away before police found and arrested him.
