Mark Block, Herman Cain’s Chief of Staff, denied the allegations raised in the POLITICO report to NBC’s Chuck Todd on Monday.”Herman Cain has never sexually harassed anybody. Period. End of story,” he said.
But when asked if Cain had ever been accused of harassment or if there were ever cash payments, Block said gave a non-denial: “I am not personally aware of any cash related to charges against Mr. Cain.”
“I would suggest you contact the National Restaurant Association,” he added.
Block said he has no reason to doubt’s Cain’s denial, saying he confronted Cain about the charges.
“Mr. Cain said emphatically that this is not true. Bring me some facts, bring me my accuser…I have complete confidence that what Mr. Cain told me is 100 per cent factually true.”
