Learn about the dynamic world of online ad sales in a fast-growing digital media startup. The ad sales account manager will join a fun, hard-charging team. He/she will support the sales team in implementing ad campaigns, optimising them, and reporting on their success, working directly with major ad agencies.Digital ad campaigns are dynamic, ever-changing, and infinitely measurable — and this role ensures they are executed smoothly. We need an individual who is passionate about digital advertising and is an excellent problem solver and a quick study. If you are handy with a to-do list and have a keen eye for detail, we’re looking for you.
This role is an incredible learning experience for anyone interested in understanding how online advertising works. You’ll interact with ad agencies and internal sales, finance, and editorial groups. In addition, you’ll learn about mobile, video, email, and social media ad formats.
- Managing the delivering of digital campaigns (once they are scheduled by the ad trafficking team) to make sure they deliver properly
- Recommending optimizations and upsells
- Post-campaign analysis
- Interacting with top advertising agencies on major accounts
- Working closely with account executives
- Creating weekly reports, case studies, benchmarks, and more
You should be comfortable with Excel, Photoshop, and web analytics tools. Light HTML and extensive web knowledge required — in other words, this is one of the rare jobs where being a web, Twitter, and Facebook power-user is an advantage! Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical to this role.
The ideal candidate is a recent college grad with a couple years of agency or marketing experience who is eager to jump start a career in digital media and/or work at a startup. This role can lead into a position in sales, marketing, or operations.
