Business Insider Australia is seeking a writer/producer to join its team in Sydney.

The writer/producer is a crucial member of the team. The mission is to deliver outstanding written editorial content to our audience daily. It requires a grasp of the Business Insider audience, brand and writing style.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hungry, mid-level writer with experience producing stories for websites, writing breaking news, social publishing and reporting in unique ways on issues that matter to Australians. An understanding of consumer business, general news and technology in Australia is required for the role. You will enjoy the fast-paced working environment and love having a broad scope across the news of the day. There is significant opportunity for career development and coaching.

This role requires:

  • A hands-on approach and a hungry attitude
  • Strong website producing and writing skills
  • Ability to write quick, clean copy
  • Experience breaking down complex topics for a broad audience

This position will suit a journalist with 3+ years’ experience who is ready for the next challenge in their career. This role reports into the head of editorial and will be a hands-on role involving reporting, writing, producing and helping to grow an esteemed brand in Australia.
