Morning Glory, the 148-ft. Perini Navi sailing superyacht built in 1993 that Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi bought from Rupert Murdoch, was recently spotted in Antigua where the Bunga Bunga master has a vacation home.Berlusconi bought the vessel from his fellow media mogul to replace another Perini Navi craft, the Principessa Vaivia, while Murdoch acquired another Perini as well, Rosehearty.
The Morning Glory offers luxe accommodations for 10 passengers – be they blonde, brunette or redhead – along with 8 crew. Like all Perini yachts she combines performance with high style.
One of the vessel’s most impressive features is a working wood and marble fireplace. The interior is finished in a modern and masculine nautical style with tons of wood paneling.
According to the London Daily Mail, Berlusconi is eagerly awaiting construction of a new deepwater dock at Antigua’s beautiful Nonesuch Bay, which will be able to accommodate his yacht.
According to the paper, Berlusconi’s beach house, located next door, is a large and immaculate hilltop villa with a row of low-rise guest villas along the waterfront beneath.
