Budget Boost For ASX IR Departments

A sizeable minority of Australian Stock Exchange companies expect their IR budgets to be larger this year than in 2010, in another sign that budgetary pressure on IR departments is easing

More than a third of companies (39 per cent) surveyed by the Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA) say they expect their budget for communicating with the investment community to increase in 2011.

Most respondents (54 per cent) expect to maintain the same IR budget as last year, while only 7 per cent think they will spend less.

The findings are part of AIRA’s annual IR Intentions Survey.
