The Chicago Tribune reported today that WMAQ, the Chicago-based NBC affiliate, hired Stefan Holt as its newest reporter.
This decision sparked an online protest with outcries of nepotism, as Holt’s father is Lester Holt, an NBC News anchor.
It should come as no surprise, as nepotism is as pervasive in media as it is in any other field.
