Goldman CEO Blankfein Receives $7MM In Stock For 2011

According to Bloomberg, Blankfein received a $7 million restricted equity bonus for 2011.

Blankfein received $9 million and $12.6 million in equity as a bonus for 2009 and 2010, respectively.

He did not receive a bonus in 2008.

Blankfein received the 61,702 share award on February 1, according to an SEC filing.

The filing does not include how much Blankfein or other senior executives were awarded in cash bonuses. Blankfein received a $5.4 million bonus for 2010.

In addition to his bonus, Blankfein received a salary of $2 million, an increase from his previous base of $600,000.

Blankfein’s earnings come in the context of a tough year for the firm. Earnings dropped 47 per cent and Goldman laid-off 2,400 employees, while the stock dropped 46 per cent.
