Think you have a horrible boss? He or she probably doesn’t compare to this guy.
William Ernst, or as some of his employees call him, the “boss from hell,” owns a chain of QC Mart convenience stores in Iowa. What did he do to earn that title?
Though he already had a longstanding reputation as a crappy boss among his employees, they were pushed over the edge when he started a contest that awarded prizes to employees who could guess who would be fired next, according to the Des Moines Register.
Then he challenged claims for unemployment benefits to those who quit over the contest, and they went to court over it. The employees have just won the case, and the judge ripped Ernst for his actions.
