Boehner: No Deal

House Speaker emerged from a meeting at the White House to say that while the session had been good, no agreement had been reached, the National Journal reports.  The report continues:Boehner, via a statement, added that “the House will not be put in a box and forced to choose between two options that are bad for the country.” Those two options, Boehner said, were a government shutdown and inadequate spending cuts 

He also said that no new continuing resolution had been scheduled for floor action to keep the government funded past Friday.
