Barclays’ Bob Diamond recently resigned from his position as CEO in the wake of a fine that the bank paid for reportedly manipulating LIBOR — a key benchmark interest rate used broadly all over the world.Today, he is appearing before the U.K. Parliament’s Treasury Select Committee.

Regarding his decision to resign, Diamond noted that earlier this week, support from the regulators wasn’t as strong as it had been.
