Blackmores and a2 Milk shares soar

Shares a2 Milk and Blackmores jumped after organic infant formula maker Bellamy’s lifted its profit guidance on better sales prospects in China.

a2 Milk and Blackmores both sell in China. At the close, vitamin maker Blackmores was up 6.1% to $159.11 and infant formula maker a2 Milk 6.4% to $$7.42.

Bellamy’s, whose spectacular growth via China suddenly stalled in 2016 following regulatory changes, today upgraded its full year guidance for revenue growth of its core business to between 30% and 35%, up from 15% to 20%.

Bellamy’s shares were up almost 25% to $13.68.
