Bitcoin is having a wild ride right now

The Bitcoin roller-coaster is fully operative this morning, with prices collapsing after earlier pushing to new record highs.

A short time ago, Bitcoin’s value reached a record high of $US11,829 on the Bitfinex exchange, then subsequently tanked by $US1,600 to $US10,329.

And just as quickly, it’s back on the rebound. Here’s this morning’s price action:

The sharp move lower over the last hour or so hasn’t been specific to Bitcoin.

There’s been a broader selloff across all the major cryptos, with traders appearing to lock in gains after steady price increases over the weekend.
