Bill Clinton earned $13.4 million in speaking fees last year, according to CNN’s Robert Yoon — his largest haul since his second presidential term ended.
The figure would puts him in a tie with the CEO of healthcare giant Cigna for #124 on Forbes’ CEO compensation list, and ahead of the CEOs of Boeing, McDonald’s and Bed Bath and Beyond.
“Clinton delivered 54 paid speeches in 2011, roughly the same as his 2010 workload, but the marked increase in income can be credited to six overseas events that earned him the largest single paydays of his career,” Yoon writes.
The data was culled from Sec. of State Hillary Clinton’s annual financial disclosures.
