I got in last night after a 14 hour trip, and hit the road this morning tracking down anything remotely intriguing.
This licence plate on a modified pickup passed me at a light near the fringe of town at about 7:30 a.m. With no one behind me, I backed up, pulled into a drive, spun my wheels over some ice and tracked it to Oasis Petroleum’s beautiful Williston headquarters.
There is no shortage of conflict and confrontation in this town. If you look someone in the eye too long, expect them to think you want to fight. Messing with a guy’s ride, also no bueno. Besmirch fracking and expect a mob scene.
I expected to be called out on this one, but simply couldn’t resist crouching down and getting a good shot in front of a bank of office windows.
No punches were thrown and no charges were filed.
Look for more pictures over the weekend, and some jaw-dropping features when I’m back on Tuesday.
