Bessemer Raises $1.6 Billion To Invest In Startups Everywhere

Burning money

Venture capital firm Bessemer Venture Partners just raised a $1.6 billion fund, which will be both global and early stage, Dealbook reports.

Bessemer isn’t one of the most visible firms out there, but they’ve had several great hits like Skype and BladeLogic and seem to be doing well. It’s also a firm with a wide footprint, with offices in Silicon Valley, New York, Boston, Israel and India.

They also have to get credit for their awesome “anti-portfolio” page where they humbly and funnily list all of the amazing companies they got the opportunity to invest in, and turned down. Kudos.
