Bentley has said for quite a while that its business model does not include room for an SUV.That just changed.
Today at the Geneva Motor Show, Bentley introduced the elegantly named EXP 9 F. This is the vision for a Bentley SUV.
If you can get by the gigantic headlights and air intakes, the EXP 9 F looks a bit like a raised Mulsanne. Around back, the rear lights have elements of the classic Continental and Turbo R models of the late 1980s.
We actually think it looks very nice from the back.
Under the hood, or bonnet for the Anglophiles out there, is a 6.0 liter W12 engine. This powerplant should be familiar to fans of the current Continental GT.
While this is labelled a concept, Bentley has been rumoured to be expanding the lineup to fill demand from a growing Chinese market.
And while it is labelled an SUV, if you ever see one off road it almost was definitely not by choice.
Starting price should be well north of $200,000 when this car makes it to dealers. Hopefully it’ll have a different nose by then too.
