Bentley And Maserati Had A Huge March

Bentley and Maserati saw double digit gains in March as the ultra-luxury auto market roared back to life.

The two niche automakers recorded strong sales figures, with Bentley selling 206 vehicles during the month, up 50 per cent from a year ago. Through the first three months of the year, its sales pace is running 41 per cent ahead of 2011. 

Maserati increased volume by 29 per cent, moving 257 units in March.

Quotes for a new Bentley generally start around $180,000, with a Maserati starting in the low $120,000s.

Sales at Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Lotus are also seen three per cent higher during the month, to a combined 262 units, Automotive News estimates. 

Maybach has yet to report. There is no consensus estimate for the company’s March sales figure.
