FIRST LOOK: Meet BB-9E, the evil droid from this year's Star Wars movie

This is BB-9E.

Yes, he’s an evil version of BB-8, the cute little droid we met in Star Wars VII — The Force Awakens.

What you’re looking at above is an official piece of merchandise made by Sphero, the company that made the app-controlled version of BB-8.

BB-9e will feature in Episode VIII – The Last Jedi. Today is the first time he’s being unveiled officially to the world.

But that’s not all Sphero is rolling out in time for the movie release, and the Christmas toy market.

There’s also an R2-D2. We got to see it. And it does this.
