Barnes & Noble just announced its new Nook Tablet, the successor to the Nook colour. The new device focuses around HD video, and is thinner and lighter than the original.
In a surprising move, Barnes & Noble also announced it would drop the Nook Simple Touch reader down to $99. And unlike the new Kindle touch-based reader, it will be free of ads.
The $249 Nook Tablet is available for pre-order now and will be in stores late next week.
