We all know that SkyBridge Capital’s Anthony Scaramucci doesn’t like doing anything small. His annual Las Vegas hedge fund conference, SALT (which launched in 2009), is no exception.New York Magazine’s Jessica Pressler caught up with Sacaramucci while he was giving a guest lecture at Columbia University recently, and she got a few details about how massive SALT 2012 is going to be.
First off, Maroon 5 is going to perform, and the way ‘The Mooch’ described the after-party to Pressler, it sounds like that may be even better:
“If we’re not going to get one of those villas, we should certainly get the high-roller penthouse, so we can have parties after Maroon 5 and the pool party…”
And of course, then there are the speakers. Al Gore and Sarah Palin are both speaking — controversial, yes, and Scaramucci loves that.
“A lot of people are upset with me about Sarah Palin,” says Scaramucci, his white, even-toothed smile suggesting this couldn’t make him happier. “I am a total sh*t-stirrer,” he confirms. “My middle name could be Sh*t-stirrer, except then my initials on my shirt would be a.s.s., and I can’t have that.”
