Greg McKenna

Greg McKenna has worked in Banking, Finance, Investments, and Markets for more than 30 years.

He’s an independent consultant, writer, and economic and financial market strategist with practical experience which includes time as a director of an Australian Mutual Bank, Treasurer of a large Australian Building Society during the GFC, and as a multi-billion dollar portfolio manager.

On top of his consulting work, Greg has worked with Business Insider since September 2013 in roles which included Contributing Editor: Markets and Economics, as well as working with Allure Media’s clients on understanding the linkage between the macro economy, consumer and business conditions, confidence, and spending through a behavioural lens.

Beside the daily, weekly, and monthly machinations of the economy and markets Greg is interested in the behavioural aspects of humans interactions with the economy and with corporations, He’s especially interested on the human and organisational impacts of technological change on people’s lives and the evolution of business models and organisational structures.

Greg has a bachelor of Business from Monash University, a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, and is a graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
