On Friday night, Augusta High School basketball coach Robin Kelsch was set to coach in his last game before become the school’s principal next year.
Kelsch, obviously beloved by his students and peers, was on the short end of a 99-69 score with time winding down in the season finale against Scott High School.
Scott Coach, and Kelsch’s long-time friend Brad Carr, along with Kelsch and the game officials contrived this play to close out the game. Kelsch received the ball with just seconds remaining and hit a “buzzer beater” three-pointer.
