Augusta National is planning to build a new luxury clubhouse that will be “among the most lavish in golf,” according to Sports Business Daily. The ultra-exclusive golf club spent $1.6 million purchasing land beyond the course’s fifth hole this summer.
The land was originally believed to be used for parking, but now it is the planned location of the “Berckman’s Place” clubhouse.
Passes to the new club will cost $6,000 for the week.
It’s supposed to open in time for the 2013 Masters Tournament.
