Rejoice! AT&T BlackBerry Users Finally Have E-Mail On Their PlayBook

And it only took AT&T two and a half months to do it.

AT&T BlackBerry owners can now tether their phones to their PlayBook using BlackBerry Bridge for e-mail and calendar access.

When the PlayBook first launched, AT&T customers were left out of this feature.

Granted, it’s not entirely AT&T’s fault. After all this time, the PlayBook still doesn’t have native e-mail and calendars. You have to tether the tablet to your BlackBerry (assuming you have one) to get that privilege.

As we said in our review, that pretty much ruins the experience for those who don’t have a BlackBerry phone.

RIM has repeatedly said an update is coming this summer that will allow e-mail and calendars, but there’s still no sign of that happening any time soon.
