Even after suffering a sharp correction at the start of February, US stocks remain among the best performing asset classes so far in 2018.

From JP Morgan, it shows the year-to-date performance of major asset classes so far this year.

US tech stocks, along with emerging market equities both in US dollar and local currency terms, continued to lead the way, managing to buck the trend seen in Japanese and European stocks along with credit, bond and commodity markets.

Slightly lower US bond yields, along with a weaker US dollar, go someway to explaining the divergent trends across various asset markets so far in 2018.
