Everyone thought AOL would ruin The Huffington Post when it bought the news startup back in February 2011.
Arianna Huffington, on the other hand, thinks that the AOL/Huffington post deal has been an “incredibly successful merger.”
“I think it’s a really tremendous credit to Tim (Armstrong), who never interfered editorially, gave us the resources we needed to grow, and then let HuffPost be HuffPost so that the startup spirit could prevail.”
