Rival college football fans are heating things up early this year, but instead of letting their disagreements play out on the football field, like they should, a Texas Longhorn fan and an Oklahoma Sooner fan decided to settle their differences in an entirely different arena.
A San Antonio Applebee’s to be exact, which now apparently serves Tequila Lime Chicken with a side of stabbings.
Must be a regional thing.
An argument between the bitter rivals broke out in the restaurant late Monday night, and before you could say “Mack Brown is an overrated piece of crap,” the altercation escalated quickly, after the Oklahoma fan pulled a knife on the Texas fan. Both men suffered stab wounds during the tussle, as the pair fought to gain control of the weapon.
Strangely enough, the Sooner fan who brandished the blade first seems to have gotten the worst of it, as he has been listed in critical condition at University Hospital in San Antonio. His counterpart is said to be in stable condition at the same facility.
Crazy stuff. No word on whether alcohol was involved, but considering the incident took place just before midnight, I think we can assume that the combatants downed a few pints of ale before things got all argumentative and stabby, proving once again that nothing good ever happens in an Applebee’s after 11 p.m.
