Some of the speculation points to Apple releasing its television in Q2 this year, but that’s not going to happen, reports DigiTimes.Apple has reportedly partnered with Sharp to make the panels for the TV, but an industry source told DigiTimes that Sharp isn’t ready to begin shipping these completed panels.

Sharp’s concern with yield rates for its indium galliium zinc oxide panels (IGZO) likely play a role in the manufacturing delay.

Mikio Katayama, president of Sharp, was recently asked about his company’s relationship with Apple and declined to comment.
